Emmet Rosenfeld: Teacher Research & Teacher Publishing Podcast

Posted by PLCweb on Saturday, November 01 2008

Postcast of Presentation and Discussion The talk was fantastic. A majority of the full-time teachers at our school participate in Teacher Research. At our monthly meeting, we had a guest speaker, Emmet Rosenfeld. Emmet writes the EdWeek blog Eduholic. Emmet Rosenfeld, English Teacher and Dean of Students at the Congressional School, has published on education in The Washington Post, Teacher Magazine, Ed Week and The American Prospect, among others. On October 30th Emmet presented his George Mason University Graduate School Class Voices from the Classroom in a condensed 18-minute talk to a group of teacher researchers. The overview covered planning and writing professional articles in educational and commercial venues. The discussion afterward focused on how teachers can begin publishing in more mainstream media. Joining the Q and A afterwards were Teacher Researchers including the bloggers: Blink and BridgeElementary, My Dear, or Far From It, Organized Chaos and me.
